| The home theatre system is on. |
| Procedure |

Turn on the Home Theatre Unit. The easiest way is to press the "Power On" switch on the HT remote control. If this doesn't work, the unit is powered off at its main switch. Press the power button on the front of the home theatre module. | ||

Turn on the Television. The easiest way is to press the "TV I/O button" at the top centre of the home theatre remote control. Alternatively, you can press the Power On switch on the TV remote control. If the TV still doesn't light up, press the power button at the top of the TV panel itself. | ||

Use the Home Theatre remote to select the correct video input.
Note that the TV should be set up as follows using the TV remote control:
These should already be set up this way, so this should be just a check. |

Use the Home Theatre remote to select the correct audio output. Using the "Sound Field" button at the centre right of the home theatre remote control, select:

Insert a DVD into the slot at the front of the home theatre module. If it won't accept the DVD, press the "function" button on the remote control until "DVD" appears in the home theatre display panel. Insert the DVD, and then press "function" again until the home theatre module is back at "video 2". Press the"Play" button at the lower centre of the home theatre remote control unit to start the film. |

Change the volume using the Home Theatre remote. Note: Sometimes, for reasons of its own, the home theatre kicks the volume down to zero, and it seems as if you have lost sound completely. Touch the "Vol +" button a few times and it should come up. |

You can change the style of the sound you hear by touching the "Sound Field" button a few times. Stop when you like the effect. | ||
